Missouri River - Oacoma, South Dakota

After HOURS of nothing, we came upon Oacoma, SD, which is right by the Missouri River in South Dakota (this photo is from. The geography changes significantly after crossing the river, so this was the first time it really seemed like we were in "The West". Up until this point the geography was still very similar to rural Ohio. This rest stop was located in the same place that Lewis & Clark made one of their camps on their famous expedition.

A bridge for trains! Cooooool...

A REALLY big tee-pee. Although not entirely functional...

Our first family photo of the trip. The high winds are making me look fat, I haven't gained THAT much weight already!
