Badlands National Park, South Dakota

This was pretty cool. We went to the Badlands to watch the sunset, and there was a group of Big Horn Sheep playing on hills near us. The Badlands were amazing, even with a little light, I'm really looking forward to driving through them tomorrow morning!


Unfortunately, I left the Kodak in the hotel room, but I did have my Sony Handycam, so I got some stills too; not the best photo quality, but still pretty neat!

Maid-Rite!!!

A Greenville Ohio CLASSIC! I was surprised when I saw this sign; the Greenville Maid-Rite is a little Mom and Pop's joint (I thought), but in Iowa they serve the same ground beef sandwich. They cook it in oil instead of beer, and it isn't even the same ball park as the Maid-Rites I grew up with!

Closed for remodeling :( I would not be denied though, I found one near our hotel in Des Moines, and that's where I had the $2.89 Maid-Rite (outrageous!).

The Classic Maid-Rite they sell is about twice as big those served in Greenville. The Carb-Rite Cup sounds good - a cup of ground beef! MMM!!!


I don't recall the one in Greenville selling pizza...
